Handprints and stamps apron

Long before Father’s Day, I knew what I wanted to make hubby for Father’s Day. He’s as gotten quite good at cooking since we’ve met, he’s improved a lot so I thought he may like his very own made by Nico apron. So I got an apron at the dollar store in the craft section, had the choice between beige and black, Nico picked beige but I must admit black would’ve been very nice too. Then he picked a few stamps and paint colors and we went for it. Put a plastic placemat or something similar under your apron, so the paint doesn’t seep through onto your table. Now I did take photos of the whole process but I can’t find them anywhere, they seem to have vanished!

So here are some photos of how we presented the gift to daddy. Daddy (Papa as he calls him) likes my omelets, why? No clue, I never measure anything or do them the same way as I’m not a fan of eggs but he swears they are the best omelets he’s had.

So we make him an omelet, first break the eggs.

Add some herbs and stir.

Put in the pan, let cook for a while then add some fillings and voilà!

Nico also made him a bagel, he put it in the toaster and pushed down the button. I also had Nico make him a card that started out as a drawing and ended up as 3 hand traces, a foot trace and a heart that got surrounded by glitter.

Overall I think papa liked his gift/breakfast :) What do you think?

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations :-)
