Valentines Day Kool-Aid icing

Baking a little something special for Valentines Day, I thought we could make a special pink icing to go with it.

You will need:

  • White icing
  • 1 packet of cherry Kool-Aid powder

I didn’t make a lot of icing cause we aren’t big on icing in this house, but I’ll tell you what I did.
Kool-Aid mixingI put some regular white icing into a bowl (about 1 heaping tablespoon) and added about a 1/4 of a teaspoon of cherry Kool-Aid powder (sorry forgot to measure this one) to it and started mixing it…

Kool Aid icing…until it was evenly blended. You do get a hint of cherry flavour, but our batch was very tiny so I guess a bigger batch would taste more like cherry. Pretty pink eh?

Then I iced our baked goods, make sure to check back for them tomorrow ;)

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations :-)

You can get different shades by adding more or less Kool-Aid :)
