Nico wanted to play with his Kool-Aid play dough, he picked the left over pinkish glittery one. Valentines Day was approaching, so I thought I would give him a heart shape cookie cutter.
He went to town making hearts! I couldn’t roll the dough quickly enough, lol. I started putting them on a cookie sheet and thought to myself, let’s make some red play dough to go with this pink and we are in business to make something out of those.
Which we did and did more hearts in. Then we put them in the oven at the lowest setting around 180 C (350 F) for a few hours (all depends how thick your pieces are) and don’t forget to turn them every so often so they dry even.
Went to the dollar store and grabbed some pin clips and some hair barette clips, I also had some magnets at home, then I used a hot glue gun to carefully glue the hearts on there (careful, everything will get really hot really quick!). I wanted those to say Nico so I had him add glitter to some of those magnets and I also printed a tiny photo of him for some of the hearts.
If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
