Sweden – Chokladbollar (Chocolate balls)
Chokladbollar (Chocolate balls)
I will admit, we have sweetteeth, not just one, but several. So when looking at Swedish recipes, we automatically also checked out potential desserts and on Valerie’s great blog find Anne’s Food (by a blogger in Stockholm, Sweden) she found one that she immediately fell in love with – chokladbollar = chocolate balls, another recipe that looked very tasty and easy to do. Just follow the link above for the actual recipe, I’ll concentrate on the “making of”.
So to show how easy it is… you basically dump all dry ingredients together…
…and mix them up. Then you cut up the butter (or margarine), mix it in with your hands, add the coffee and mix that in, too, and you are already almost done!
Next up you roll the mix into about walnut-sized balls…
…roll them in whichever decoration you would like, sprinkles, coconut flakes, pearl sugar or other stuff.
All that is left is to put them into the fridge for a while, so everything can firm up, because after handling the balls…
…they are somewhat soft and extremely sticky.
