Shaving cream prints with a glitter twist

The second batch we did, before putting the paint this time I thought what could we do to make this ours and not just a “copy”…

So I asked Nico if he wanted to used the acrylic glitter paint for the new batch, he was very giddy to that idea! He wanted me to do it while he watched. The glitter in that paint is very fine so I thought we needed more.

I gave him a few glitter shakers and he went to town!

Then we went on the same way as before.

You can’t scrape too much off or the shaker glitter comes off, so the fine paint glitter was ok, but the colors were a lot less strong.

We also left some on longer before scraping it (about 5 min).

We also left some that we didn’t scrape, took about 24h and it was dried down with all the glitter still attached, but to this day it loses glitter when you touch it (like all glitter things without a varnish). The unscraped ones have much stronger color and glitter.

He also helped with the clean up which was minimal (the paint on the place mat is from an older craft).

I wanna use those for something just not sure what yet. I know many have made cards, garlands or framed them, which is great, but I’m not sure that’s what I wanna do. It’ll come to me one day :) Or maybe you have a suggestion?

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations :-)
