Egg carton caterpillar
I didn’t intend for this to be a post (explains the lack of photos), since I thought everyone had made some before, but after showing them to my mother in-law in Germany via video chat, I had to post it. She had never seen those before so I thought that after all maybe not everyone on that side of the world had seen them, and little kids over there could be expose to something new
Those are as old as the crafting world and egg cartons but Nico never made any so I thought he could at least paint one and pick the pipe cleaner color and the decorations. So I quickly cut the egg carton while I asked him to get the paint he wanted (we have it accessible height behind doors). He picked yoyange gigger psepsure (orange glitter peinture (paint)). He wanted me to make him one too, so he picked yellow for that one. We painted our egg cartons together. After they were dry, since he was only 29 months, I poked holes and put the cut pipe cleaners he picked, in.
He glued the googly eyes and the buttons, which he liked picking out. He pretty much copied what I had done for him (he picked what he wanted for that one too). He wanted long antennas on his.
Here are the results. It doesn’t show in the picture but the yellow buttons also have glitter in them. They both now live on our window sill so they can look outside
Cute eh?
If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
