Hand-made card prints for Mother’s Day
When looking for inspiration for a Mother’s Day gift from both Nico and I for Valerie, I stumbled upon a great idea of hand-made card prints from Let’s Explore and immediately knew that this was a perfect thing to do and give Maman something special
It’s really easy and quick to do and just like Amy @ Let’s Explore wrote, it is addictive! So what do you need? A flat, wipeable surface (such as a smooth place mat, a plastic sheet or as in our case a regular place mat with cling wrap over it), some masking tape, paint, a foam brush, cardstock and cotton swabs.
So I put the cling wrap over Nico’s place mat and then cut one sheet of cardstock into four equal cards. Then I taped off an area a bit smaller than the card, before putting some paint into it. Nico then took the foam brush and spread the paint evenly into that space.
After that we took a simple cotton swab and “drew” by removing paint from the cling wrap.
Once we were satisfied (or rather once I managed to stop Nico from removing all the paint he had originally applied), I wiped the excess paint off the tape and Nico pressed the cardstock (I helped him to make it as even as I could).
After that I carefully removed it to avoid smudging and voila – a unique and easy print card that you can use for pretty much any occasion or just to create some cool artwork to frame or just put on the fridge!
If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations

That’s a really cool idea. I’ll bet my daughter would love to do printing and creating like this. Thanks for sharing it and thanks for also linking it to the Kid’s Co-op
