Boat box
We had an old bread box (they have those at the bread store in Calgary) that we used way back in Calgary. After Nico was born it was his box for the car, where we would put all his stuff between his seat and the one in front so all his things would stay together. We hadn’t used it in several months since he’s been climbing in his car seat on his own and we had to remove it. We put it away and forgot it. The other day it was found again and we were just gonna recycle it but I thought Nico could have some fun with it first.
I got his markers and told him it was a boat. He had fun drawing mostly in it, for some weird reason he always wants to draw in things, lol.
Eventually he did do a bit outside too, lol.
When he was done, I asked him if he wanted stickers (I had just gotten a 1000 stickers pad), of course he did! I pulled the stickers off for him as they were quite hard to get off. The stickers he put only on one side in one oval spot, lol.
10 days later he still pulls his boat out and sits in it to watch TV
In a week or 2, if he still has it in one piece, we might take it outside and paint it all up and play outside with it for a while (we’ve had lots of rain, not friendly to boxes
).
If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations

That box looks fantastic! My kids would love one like that
My son would love to play in a boat like that, too! It’s always the simplest toys that they love and go back to again and again…those that spark their imagination! Nico did a wonderful job creating his boat!
