Kids on the Go – Featherdale Wildlife Park (Sydney, AU)

Kids on the Go – Featherdale Wildlife Park (Sydney, AU)

We accidentally found this park. We had just moved from Tacoma, Washington to Sydney, AU and were visiting our two Pugs at the quarantine station.  The station was quite a trek from the city and due to some health issues with one of my Pugs, we had to visit the station daily and twice a day on weekends.  So, we decided to spend the weekends near the station so we would not have to spend … Read entire article »

Golf tees & playdough math

Golf tees & playdough math

This is an extension of a post I have done before called “Golf tees numbers & colors game“. Pompom toss (pocket lounge mat)

Pompom toss (pocket lounge mat)

So we got this pocket lounge mat for Nico for our trip the other day, since one of the hotels only mentioned 1 bed. A few days before I set it up to make sure he likes it and gets used to it. I was preparing another game with pompoms for him to bring, so he grabbed it and made his own game. Pompoms toss! At first he tossed them in randomly, then we had … Read entire article »

Kids on the Go – New England Aquarium, Boston, MA

Kids on the Go – New England Aquarium, Boston, MA

Children of almost all ages love aquariums, so since we were in Massachusetts already, we decided to visit the New England Aquarium in Boston. It is pretty easy to find, if you do your homework and check on their website into which parkades are the closest and how to get there, since it is smack in the middle of Boston, on the waterline and with no direct parking. Several parkades offer discounts for visitors of the … Read entire article »

Kids on the Go – San Diego Zoo, San Diego, CA

Kids on the Go – San Diego Zoo, San Diego, CA

Well-known and a major attraction in Southern California, I recommend the San Diego Zoo. We debated it because of the price of the tickets. Our son getting in free (under 2) definitely helped, as did free parking and the decision to not eat at the zoo. Ticket prices are $42 for adults, $32 for children 3-11 or $76 for an adult 2-visit pass or $56 for child 2-visit pass, which can be used at the Zoo … Read entire article »

Quick DIY fishing game

We were having a garage sale and my mother had some old fishing rods she got to sell, Nico wanted to play with them, but of course he couldn’t or he would mess them all up, so he ask to have one made. My mother got him a little branch and attached a rope to it. I thought it was a little boring, so I got a pipe cleaner and made him a hook. As … Read entire article »
