Cookie cutter bird (squirrel) feeder

I say this on Juggling with Kids a while back and loved the idea. I thought Nico would enjoy it and I was right, he’s asked to make more since then but I’m not a fan of feeding those dang squirrels so we haven’t but we’ll try again this fall, hoping to get some birds this time :) For the recipe please visit the original post on Juggling with Kids. You notice a band-aid on his finger on the left hand, that’s why he couldn’t use it ;)

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it
to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
:-)

Valerie is the creative mind behind "Glittering Muffins", stay-at-home mom of Nico, a little dynamo that is bursting with energy. He also is the inspiration behind the blog (and the name) with his keen interest in cooking, baking and, well, glitter. Valerie constantly is thinking about twists to the traditional arts, crafts and recipes to make them her own and is inspiring others while doing so. Outside of the blogging world, her main activity is Nico, with the occasional TV show (non-toddler related) and casual game here and there.

  1. Our little corner of the World has been designated by the National Wildlife Federation as a Wildlife Habitat! We’re very excited, and have started adding feeders and baths for birds & dragonflies. Problem of course – Squirrels getting into the feeders and chasing away the birds. I was looking for something that I could do with our granddaughter and came across the Cookie Cutter idea! Huzzah! The issue is addressed, the squirrels will now be welcome but their tasty treats will be across the yard in a tree for their access and the birds can feed without worry! I always “know what I want” but can never figure out how to do it! Thank you!
