Square water beads!

You’ve seen them on every blog out there and kids love them. I was about to order some online when Alex found some in the dollar store garden aisle with the new summer stuff at the end of April. They had beads, but also cubes! Which I thought was pretty cool, so we took some of those too. Since the posts out there are all about beads I’m gonna share our cubes with you :)

As per instructions we put them in water and let them grow. Funny how the bead colors bleed in the water but the cubes don’t, I wonder why… Nico liked watching them grow a few times during the day. We dumped the extra water and voilà – our cubes!

Of course, Nico brought his kitchen stuff into play. Pot, measuring spoon, wooden spoon, mixer and stove!

When Nico got into speed stirring mode, Alex who was already picking up a few fallen cubes, got really worried! He also noticed if you squish it, it crumbles and sticks to you, lol.

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it
to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
:-)

If you like what you see, follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with what we’re up to!

Valerie is the creative mind behind "Glittering Muffins", stay-at-home mom of Nico, a little dynamo that is bursting with energy. He also is the inspiration behind the blog (and the name) with his keen interest in cooking, baking and, well, glitter. Valerie constantly is thinking about twists to the traditional arts, crafts and recipes to make them her own and is inspiring others while doing so. Outside of the blogging world, her main activity is Nico, with the occasional TV show (non-toddler related) and casual game here and there.
