Happy anniversary, mon Chaton :)

10 years are a long time, but at the same time they pass by in the blink of an eye. Today to the day it has been ten years that Valerie and I said our vows and what a ride has it been! If anybody had told me eleven years ago that in the year 2012 I would be living in Canada (Quebec), married to a Canadian (Quebecoise) and having a beautiful boy with the heart of a lion, the energy of the Energizer bunny on fast forward and the attention span of a bumblebee, I would have called them nuts (in the very least) and probably rightfully so.
I have been blessed to spend the last 10 years married to one of the most big-hearted and passionate women that ever walked the earth, who now is one of the most passionate mothers I have ever seen in my life and while we’ve had our ups and downs, I would not want to miss a minute of it. She was courageous to move to a country she did not know anybody but me (and having met me in person for a mere two weeks before), to a country she did not speak or understand the language of. She sacrificed the life as she knew it, leaving everybody and (almost) everything behind as a sign of huge unselfishness.
We share this very special bond that many people have never understood and probably never will, but that has been making us such an outstanding pair (and now trio).
Valerie, you are the love of my life and even if I do not always show it as much as I want to and should, you will always be!
Thank you for putting up with me and my quirks for so long, I love you now and always

Very sweet indeed, made me cry. I ended up sweating in the kitchen all day (we are in the middle of a heat wave), I made a french vanilla cake and a lasagna, which are 2 of his favorite we hadn’t had because of the heat. Nico sat with us and ate almost without a fuss, so it was a pretty good dinner
