Bloggers filling backpacks

PhotobucketWe are excited to share something with you that literally can change the lives of hundreds of children!

Under the lead of Crayon Freckles we have partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of America and over 40 bloggers to help support their Tools for Back to School campaign. It aids parents and students to prepare for school by providing school supplies and resources to the children. Here’s what the Boys & Girls Club of America has to say about the campaign:

“Too many kids in America are falling behind in school and life before they even get started. Oftentimes, this is not due to a lack of ability but to the lack of access to both basic tools, such as notebooks and pens, and to quality after-school programming that helps prepare kids for academic success and, inevitably, a great future.”

So our united goal is to raise $500. So, will you make a difference? Everyone who will make a donation of $10 (or more) will get the “Boredom-Buster Backpack: 50+ Activities to Keep Children Busy” ebook! The ebook is full of amazing activities contributed by more than 40 bloggers that will keep your children busy, learning, and having fun.

So please go to the Bloggers Filling Backpacks BGCA fundraising page and make your $10 donation for your copy of this awesome ebook!  You will not only get lots of fun activities to do with your child, but you will also help other children have the supplies they need to start school successfully!

Valerie is the creative mind behind "Glittering Muffins", stay-at-home mom of Nico, a little dynamo that is bursting with energy. He also is the inspiration behind the blog (and the name) with his keen interest in cooking, baking and, well, glitter. Valerie constantly is thinking about twists to the traditional arts, crafts and recipes to make them her own and is inspiring others while doing so. Outside of the blogging world, her main activity is Nico, with the occasional TV show (non-toddler related) and casual game here and there.
