I got this farm fabric in the States that I knew Nico would love, since he loves everything farm for the last year. I only got a yard (asked for a meter, force of habit, but the girl said nope, jokingly and offered me a yard instead), it was a little pricey but I knew I could do a few things with that.
I didn’t want to just go cushions so my mother suggested a cork board with an old laminated picture. I had cork tiles from the dollar store, so we glued those with wood glue and then cut the excess. Then I cut my fabric to fit and made sure the pattern was straight, put some tacky glue all over the cork tiles and stuck the fabric on it.
I made sure when I cut it to make it long enough to wrap it up around the back. Look at the pics to see how I did the corners, much easier to see than type/read it. As you can see it’s not perfect but it’s still ok
I thought it was a little blah so I took some twine and tacky glued it all around the border 4 times (that’s how many times I needed to cover the thickness of the border), you can’t see it much so I made little spirally circles like things for the corners. I didn’t have any special farm push pins for it and the ones I found online were expensive, so I decided to tacky glue them up and wrap twine around them, for some mini hay bale push pins To put on it I printed out some of his favorites from the farm (which according to him is ours), and I wrote the animal name on each pic with a fine Sharpie, in French and English, that way every time he looks at the animals he will see the words. I know he’s young but can’t hurt to start
