Pan-Boo-cakes

( Oct. 26, 2012) Nico asked for pancakes this morning when I asked what he wanted for breakfast, since he normally asks for cereals or toasts I figure we could make some. We did the recipe together, he held each cup and spoon while I poured in and he would then pour them in the bowl, he also broke the egg and stirred. We used our usual pancake recipe. As I scooped a small fairly thin pancake, I thought about the last cookie cutters I bought, Halloween ones. So I let the pancake cook lightly on one side and flipped it so it remained white on the one side. Once in the plate, I took the ghost shape cutter and cut 2 out of the pancake. Since my ghost is tiny, I cut a chocolate chip in 4 for the eyes of one and I used an icing pen for the other ghost face. You could also use raisins.

Nico really like them, he had a big smile and couldn’t wait to eat them. Two more minutes for a happy little boy, it was worth it :)

If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it
to us or post it on our Facebook page. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
:-)

Valerie is the creative mind behind "Glittering Muffins", stay-at-home mom of Nico, a little dynamo that is bursting with energy. He also is the inspiration behind the blog (and the name) with his keen interest in cooking, baking and, well, glitter. Valerie constantly is thinking about twists to the traditional arts, crafts and recipes to make them her own and is inspiring others while doing so. Outside of the blogging world, her main activity is Nico, with the occasional TV show (non-toddler related) and casual game here and there.
