Around the World in 12 Dishes – Season 2 – 2013/2014

Around the World in 12 Dishes

Welcome to the second season of “Around the World in 12 Dishes”. Since the first year was such a big success, it was an easy decision to go for a second helping :)

This time around we can welcome two new blogs to the fold of “dish blogs”, while two have moved on to concentrate on crafts, cultural topics etc., so we will be able to broaden what we can learn for each country. The principle still is the same, though, our journey around the world, visiting a different country every month, cooking at least one dish together with our children and learning about the culture and cuisine of the country.

This year we will be visiting the following countries:

      • March – Ireland
      • April – France
      • May – Finland
      • June – Spain
      • July – Kenya
      • August – Egypt
      • September – New Zealand
      • October – Korea
      • November – Thailand
      • December – Jamaica
      • January – Peru
      • February – Canada

Just like last year, each country will have its own linky, where you can link up your own related posts, if you have some, they are always open for a whole year, we would love to see your posts!

For each country we also have a colouring placemat and a four page passport with lots of fun information, questions, a spot for a photo of you and your dish and space to put your own recipe, so you and your child(ren) can really explore and it will be a nice keepsake!

Another thing that’s changing is that we will be posting on Mondays throughout the month, so you will be seeing new posts pop up all the time!

And here are the blogs that will be bringing you “Around the World in 12 Dishes” in the 2013/2014 season:

Adventures In Mommydom, Creative Family Fun, Domestic Goddesque, Enchanted Homeschooling Mom, Glittering Muffins, Here Come The Girls, Juggling with Kids, Kid World Citizen, Kitchen Counter Chronicles, Little Artists, Mermaids’ Makings, Montessori Tidbits, Mummymummymum and The Educators’ Spin On It.

You can find the placemats and passports on our Facebook page and our Google+ community page, feel free to like/join them, too while you’re there.
