Paper roll mummies

Paper roll mummiesAs most of you have noticed, we haven’t posted many crafts in the last nine to ten months, because Nico was pretty much against it, since it was “too much work” and “too long” according to him. So we have been mostly cooking, hence the influx of recipes. But for Halloween, I wanted to do something cute, not scary and quick to make. Now the main problem with Nico and crafts is that he finds them long and too much work, but when we decide to do one, he wants to make either ten times the same or ten different versions of it, which obviously makes things even longer and tedious, go figure, lol. So for Halloween, we decided to go with toilet paper rolls (of course you can use a paper towel roll cut to size) and I thought about making mummies with bandages.

Paper roll mummies - makingThey were simple, we just got gauze at the dollar store, cut one of the little tubes in half for the baby version and he just wrapped it around while I turned it, since he was not quite getting the concept at first. I glued the beginning and the end and once that was done, all we did was glue googly eyes and a little bow for the Maman mummy (in case you have not noticed, it is our family).

So without really needing to prep you can make some cute little Halloween decorations that are not scary and easy to make for the kids. Hope you like them and make your own, would love to see your family as mummies.
