(Nov 5, 2013) Nico was making a tree downstairs at my mother’s and he wanted to put the star on top, but the only one she had was very blah, so she sent him up to glitterize it! It took literally 5 minutes to do.
If you don’t have or can’t find an inexpensive plastic star (in thrift store or garage sales in the summer) you could make one out of cardboard. Cut 2 stars, glue the edges of both together leaving the bottom separated to stick your branch in it or cut one and tape a cardboard roll cut to size in the back. Paint with glue (not too thick or your cardboard will get soggy) and sprinkle your glitter, shake off excess and voilà you are done too
If you do this, we’d LOVE to see a photo of it. Email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. Don’t forget to also follow us on Pinterest and our “Around the World in 12 Dishes” series also has its own Pinterest boards for each country. We’d love to do a Facebook album, a Pinterest board and a page of your creations
