(Oct. 24, 2014) We had our Homeschool kinder co-op Halloween party. It was quick, simple and the kids had fun.
It was in the morning, everyone brought a little something, here’s what we ended up with: Orange cheese and crackers, juice boxes, popcorn balls and ghost pancakes (just use a ghost cookie cutter) for food.
We had only two games: Pin the face on the pumpkin, which was simply made with big orange cardboard cut like a pumpkin and we used craft foam to cut the eyes, nose (all triangles) and the mouth (drew teeth on with chalk). Instead of using a pin, we used glue dots, they came off the foam sheet when removing them but we’d just get them off the pumpkin and back on the craft foam. We did a collective turn and then everyone got to do a whole face.
We also had a pumpkin scavenger hunt and match. Five different pumpkins times 5 each were drawn on paper and 4 of each hidden. The kids that found a pumpkin had to come match it to the others of the same. After that was done, they hid them again and found them again. They also hid them one more time for the adults to find.
We gave little lollipop ghosts as well, which we made really quickly the morning of. Put tissue paper over a round lollipop, tie it loosely with a white thread, trim the paper to make it straight, take a black marker and draw 2 round eyes, done!
Nico also had made pop-up ghosts cards for his friends. Click here to make them too
