Kids on the Go – Nashville Zoo, Nashville, TN
The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a 200 acre park located on the south side of Nashville. Founded in 1990, the Zoo boasts natural habitat exhibits and conservation efforts. While you are there, check out the various animal shows and hourly keeper talks, where you can get up close and personal with the animals. To spark interest in the animals, kids can feed lorikeets, ride a safari-themed carousel or child-sized train, or pet the goats and … Read entire article »

Kids on the Go – San Diego Zoo, San Diego, CA
Well-known and a major attraction in Southern California, I recommend the San Diego Zoo. We debated it because of the price of the tickets. Our son getting in free (under 2) definitely helped, as did free parking and the decision to not eat at the zoo. Ticket prices are $42 for adults, $32 for children 3-11 or $76 for an adult 2-visit pass or $56 for child 2-visit pass, which can be used at the Zoo … Read entire article »

Kids on the Go – Vienna Zoo: Tiergarten Schoenbrunn
One of our favourite zoos is the Vienna Zoo (“Tiergarten Schoenbrunn”, as it’s really called). It’s the world’s oldest zoo, established in 1752, and was voted the Best European Zoo in 2010. The architecture and layout are stunning, and combined with a modern, animal- and child-friendly approach to zoo architecture, really make the whole zoo experience one to remember for the whole family. We always have a wonderful day there, and they have the most fantastic playground! … Read entire article »
